March Day Checklist

You are here: Home / March Day Checklist

1. Pro-Science Protest Sign!

If you missed our sign making events, it’s not too late to make your own sign at home! Check out these websites for ideas! Bustle or Azula

Here are a few we made last Saturday at Mammal Gallery!

2. Wear your March For Science T-shirt!

Hopefully you ordered your official March For Science Atlanta T-shirt in time to wear on Saturday! If not, and you’d still like a commemorative shirt, visit our official stores. All proceeds benefit the March For Science Atlanta.

3. Leave your pets at home!

We adore our furry friends, but the permit granted by the City of Atlanta does not allow pets to march with us.

4. Stay hydrated!

We will have water stations available in several locations, for your convenience. The map below marks the water station locations with a water drop icon:

5. Leave your car at home!

Candler Park neighborhood has extremely limited public parking so we strongly encourage you to use public transport to arrive to Candler Park. In order to facilitate this, we are partnering with MARTA to help you get where you need to go!!!

MARTA has agreed to add more cars to the trains in service on the 22nd. There are park and ride lots on most lines of the system, while Candler Park itself is just a few blocks away from the MARTA station. We’re even working on some bicycling options for those of you that want to arrive on two wheels!!!

Look over our transportation options and check back for updates.

6. Be Safe!

See something, say something.  There will be no tolerance for violence, abusive language or other unsafe behavior. There will be police on hand to ensure that we are safe during our demonstration. Please follow the directions of police and all safety personnel. Volunteers will also be on hand to assist in any way.

7. Be Clean!

Be sure to take everything out, that you bring in. Let’s leave the city just as clean, if not cleaner than we found it.  Consider public transportation and ridesharing to eliminate traffic woes and reduce carbon emissions.

8. Check in on Social Media!

Let everyone know you are part of March For Science on Earth Day! We encourage your to tag us, check-in, and post live videos of your march experience! Find us on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram! #ScienceMarchATL
