Public Transportation

March for Science Atlanta encourages all participants to take MARTA to the event. The rally is three blocks from the Candler Park MARTA station. MARTA has agreed to add extra cars onto trains for the day of the event, however, they will run on the normal weekend frequency, every 20 minutes. Please plan accordingly. Also make sure to get a round-trip ticket when you enter the station as well. Some MARTA stations provide free parking. Please see https://martaguide.com/parking/ for more information.

MARTA Mobility provides ADA compliant paratransit service upon reservation. To schedule a reservation, call the MARTA Mobility Call Center (404) 848-5826; 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM seven days a week.

Bike

Another great green option is to cycle to the event. We are currently reviewing options for bike parking. Please check back for updates.

Other Alternative Transportation Options

If neither public transport nor biking is an option, consider using Lyft or taxis. There will be no parking close to the park itself. PARK Atlanta will be patrolling on the day of the event and will ticket and tow vehicles improperly parked. The drop off point is the intersection of Terrace Ave and Marlbrook Dr, 30307, on the northeast edge of the park. (Your driver can use 1583 Terrace Ave, NE, Atlanta, GA 30307 to navigate here)

Paid Parking Lots

There are three pay parking lots in the vicinity:

  • Front Page News Garage ($5, 7 minute walk to Candler Park)
  • 1117 Euclid Ave NE ($3, 9 min walk)
  • Inman Quarter ($8 15 minute walk).
